Burned By Fireman

Hi,

I am a newly divorced mom of 4. I still have 3 young ones at home. I am creating this blog so other new divorced moms or just newly divorced women can have a heads up.

I live in a small Alabama town. I was going through a divorce. My husband had been moved out a few month and we were waiting on finalizing our papers. A man approached me at my kids baseball practice, he was there with his step-son. He asked if that was my husband that was there sometimes. I told him I was getting divorced but in our small town it takes a long time since the judges are in a curcuit court and rotate. He said he knew what I meant, he was getting one as well.

I saw him again at another practice and he asked where I was from. I told him Oklahoma. He asked what town in Alabama and I told him.

Well, it was now the last game of the season. He was there with his wife. I thought he was wonderful being there for his step son in spite of getting divorced. He asked if he could call me sometime to "vent" or talk. I said sure, I could use someone to talk to.

The next morning he called. He didn't waste much time. He asked me not to tell his wife because it might cause issues in her signing the divorce papers. I told him we were just talking I didn't see a problem with that. He called 3 or 4 times in the next hour.

Well, being a 45 year old woman, married for 15 years, homeschooling my kids for the past 10 years and not going much of anywhere, living in Alabama away from all my family, well... having this guy interested was a nice change.
